While upholstery doesn't attract the same amount of soiling as carpeting, it should be vacuumed and cleaned regularly. Besides keeping it clean, vacuuming and having your upholstered furniture cleaned professionally will also extend the useful life of your furniture.

Since we don’t walk on our furniture (unless there are children in the house), the oily abrasive soils that affect carpets are not predominant on our favorite couch or chair.
